As we approach World Environment Day 2025, with its powerful theme of #BeatPlasticPollution, Teys’ operations support this theme with the steps we’re taking to reduce plastic waste, minimise environmental harm, and drive sustainable change across our business.
Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time, threatening ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. At Teys, we recognise our responsibility to act—not just through compliance, but through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Our Environmental Focus
Our Environmental Policy is built on the principle of strong stewardship, ensuring we protect natural ecosystems while reducing waste and pollution. We focus on:
- Minimising single-use plastics by using bulk bins from trim products.
- Diverting waste from landfill through composting, recycling, and converting by-products into valuable resources.
- Investing in renewable energy and circular economy solutions to turn waste into opportunity.

- Cutting Packaging Waste

- We’ve removed 3 million cartons annually from our operations through packaging improvements, with more innovations in progress.

- Composting organic resources, including paunch and processing by-products, where possible.
- Transforming Waste into Value
Teaming up with AMPC, Teys Australia is supporting a purpose build anaerobic digestor pilot at our Beenleigh facility. The digester turns paunch waste into on-site renewable energy.

- Reduces waste-handling costs and heavy vehicles movements off site

- Increases renewable energy production for industry to further reduce reliance on fossil fuels, reducing emissions.
